Anime Souls with a tight story is my jam. And given that he actually sacrifices so much, it would be nice to see what his memories at least were.Ĭode Vein suffers from a low budget feeling, and the lack of polish throughout a lot of the game, but the whole experience is actually really good. I wished somethings are given more meat though, like at least let me talk to Silva one last time, since every successor gets a chance to talk. Best boi Louis sacrifice everthing again. MY GOD it's dark, it's actually good! Bad ending is best ending.Ĭan't believe everyone ends up living in solitude as successors, until frenzy takes over them, and Jack returns to kill everyone. Even created Io in order to help successors.Īnd the true ending is standard cliche happy anime ending. And every blood code owner are good guys too, even the most powerful revenant, Queen, is just someone who sacrifices herself for humanity. Mia and Nicola are just kids trying to survive. Then Jack has to kill his most precious companion (almost), truly a touching love story. Abused, vocal chords cut, and finally gave herself to become a successor herself. Yakumo is just an all rounder good guy good friend.Īll the time you hear about bad guy Silva, turns out all he does is sacrifice his everything, from his daughter, to himself.Įva and Jack looks like bad guys in their marketing art, turns out Jack is a relentless hero watching over everybody, and Eva is one of the most tortured lady in the story. When you first woke up, you met the nicest person Louis. The characters, outside Black Panther Mido, there is almost no bad guy in CV, this is truly a hopeful world unlike Souls, where everybody is out to kill you. So I finally finished CV, got the true ending, and obviously wanted to share impressions of the story. But a likely explanation that could be made up as to why no one mentions this is that due to the horrible state the world is in, the red mist keeping all the Revenants in, and seemingly powerful Aragami being right outside the mist means that people simply had no way to check it out and after enough years just forgot about it or didn't feel it was relevant since it couldn't help them anyway.Īnyway with what the DLC for Code Vein could provide and if there is a Code Vein 2 and God Eater 4, it would really cool to see larger cross overs. Now obviously it's likely Code Vein wasn't in the minds of the developers around when God Eater 1 was being made hence why none of this is mentioned. The reason being that Code Vein takes place before the first 3 games is because the moon is still normal, thusly Nova, the final boss of GE1:R, hasn't gone there with Shio. The outside world now without Revenants continue to fight Aragami as they continue to evolve, leading eventually to creating the God Arcs from Aragami The Revenants kill the Queen, the relics are created and Grergorio Silva using his relic creates the red mist that seals every Revenant and creation of the Queen behind it.ĥ. However as the game shows this backfires and she becomes the Queen and her own world ending threat.Ĥ. This eventually leads to Cruz Silva to be picked to be experimented on due to her high results. BOR Parasite is discovered and leads to the creation of the Revenants and they act as the first line of defense against the Aragami (at the time seemingly just known as, the Horrors)ģ. So with this in mind it seems like the timeline goes as follows.Ģ. Now the game had a ton of little references up to this point but many that could be just chalked up to being the same developer but with Dyaus appearing along with the words of Mido afterwards it's clear these two series are actually connected. What I had no idea was that the monster that showed up was Dyaus Pita, an Aragami first introduced in the game, God Eater. If you were like me, you thought you might fight this but this is the last time you see it. Near the ending of the game when the red mist fades, a monster shows up and begins attacking Revenants before being pushed back to the other side by the red mist reforming. So, I feel it's only right to start with what is arguably the big revelation of the game that may have gone over peoples heads as it did for me. So once again, last warning, MAJOR SPOILERS. So I don't expect this to be an incredibly active thread but due to the fairly story heavy nature of Code Vein I thought it would be cool to have open spoilers here since the other thread has many who are still working their way through it.
